Cyclocross racing is all about returning to the joy of riding a bike in all kinds of conditions and terrain, riding like you were a kid again. Your bike needs to be pliable to carve through corners, yet stiff enough to crush the start. Only modern steel can do all of that for you, and we designed the Mettle to be the best cyclocross bike you could ride. Off-camber hills and tight corners become minor obstacles as your storm your way to the finish line.

The frame construction begins in Wisconsin, handmade by Waterford Precision Cycles using Vari-wall THRMLX steel. To add race stiffness to the lively feel of steel, we increased the diameter of the top and down tube and tapered the head tube to accommodate stiff, lightweight carbon forks. Yet the inherent flexibility of quality steel lets you carry unrivaled speed through corners. The end result of the THRMLX steel frame of the Mettle is the smoothest, most reliable, and sweetest-riding cross race bike you'll ever carry over a barrier.

Current turn-around for a frameset is 8-10, a complete bike is 10-12 weeks until shipment. This could be extended depending on options chosen. Please ask.
