Hex Skewer<p></p><p> <b>Self-Connecting System SL</b></p><p> An extra smart solution other than more or less easy-to-use connectors on a hub dynamo is: the SL system. The contact areas on hub and forks themselves make the connections. Ground connection is made at one fork end, phase connection at the other fork end with a contact plate insulated by an insulating plate in one dropout.</p><p> The SL system requires a specially reworked fork. This means retrofitting is not possible. Schmidt offer a wide range of dropouts and suitable contact parts for framebuilders who build steel forks.
