The Grand Cru long reach (47-57) caliper brakes are super stiff,probably the stiffest long reach brakes ever made. In testing we foundthese to outperform every other long reach brake and many short reachracing brakes that cost twice as much. The dual pivot design offerssuperb modulation and power, very important on a steep mountain descent.The pivots are very smooth. There is clearance for 45mm fenders.

They are made in a small shop in Taiwan run by a former bike racer andengineer. The finish is hand polished, but not anodized; that way theycan be re-polished 25 years down the road and look great forever. Theyinclude brake shoes come with good quality pads and take standardShimano-type replacement pads.
