Product description
Self-Connecting System SL
An extra smart solution other than more or less easy-to-use connectors on a hub dynamo is: the SL system. The contact areas on hub and forks themselves make the connections. Ground connection is made at one fork end, phase connection at the other fork end with a contact plate insulated by an insulating plate in one dropout.
The SL system requires a specially reworked fork. This means retrofitting is not possible. Schmidt offer a wide range of dropouts and suitable contact parts for framebuilders who build steel forks. A few manufacturers offer aluminium forks prefabricated with SL dropouts in series.
